Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
Warframe Toolkit ("the app") is an unofficial companion app for the game Warframe, operated by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. Questions? See Support.
The short version
- Your tracking progress lives on your device, not on our servers.
- We collect anonymous usage and error analytics to improve the app. You can turn this off any time in Settings → Privacy.
- We don't show third-party ads, don't track you across other apps, and don't sell your data.
- We never ask for your Warframe password and never sign in to your Warframe account.
Data stored on your device
Your collection progress — which items you own or have mastered, your counts, and your profiles — is stored locally on your device. We don't receive it unless you opt in to cloud sync (below). Uninstalling the app deletes the local copy.
Accounts & cloud sync (optional)
You can optionally create an account to back up and sync your progress across devices. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without one. If you create an account:
- We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to sign you in and store your data.
- We store your email address (to authenticate you) and your collection/sync data (the same progress described above), associated with your account.
- You can delete your account and its synced data at any time from within the app (Account → delete), or by emailing us.
We never ask for or store your Warframe credentials — this account is separate and only for syncing your progress in this app.
Analytics & error reporting
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, the app collects anonymous product-usage and error events through PostHog. This includes:
- Events such as app opens, which screens you view, and which features you use;
- Coarse properties: your selected Warframe platform, whether you've imported a profile, your tracked-item count, and free vs. ad-free status;
- A randomly generated analytics ID and an approximate region inferred from your IP address; and
- Diagnostic information when an error occurs.
This data is not tied to your name, email, or any account, and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. In regions that require opt-in consent (such as the EU/EEA and the UK), analytics stay off until you agree. Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy.
Feedback you send
If you use the in-app feedback form, we receive the message you write, an optional email address (only if you choose to provide one so we can reply), your app version, your OS version, and the country your request comes from. Your IP address is used briefly to prevent spam and is not stored with the feedback. Feedback is stored by us (via Cloudflare) and may be relayed to our private developer channel.
Camera & photos
The app can read item names from your in-game Inventory or Profile screen using on-device text recognition. This processing happens entirely on your device — your photos and video are never uploaded or sent anywhere.
Other services the app connects to
- warframe.market — when you view prices, the app requests public market data.
- warframestat.us / community CDN — item images.
- Digital Extremes (warframe.com) — only if you choose to sync your mastery by entering your own Warframe account ID, the app sends that ID directly from your device to Digital Extremes to fetch your own public profile. We do not receive or store it.
- Cloudflare — hosts our feedback endpoint and this page.
These services receive standard request information (such as your IP address) as part of normal internet operation and handle it under their own privacy policies.
What we don't do
- No third-party advertising and no advertising identifiers (no IDFA / App Tracking Transparency tracking).
- No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.
- No Warframe account login — we never request your Warframe credentials.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Turn analytics off any time in Settings → Privacy.
- Delete all local data by uninstalling the app.
- Ask us to delete feedback you've sent — see Support.
If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, or California, you have rights over your personal data (access, correction, deletion). We honor these on a best-effort basis — contact us to make a request.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
